Hi I’m Aïsha de Barros Lopes,

I am an advocate for embodied erotic power. I help people create deeper intimacy and more fulfilling sex through a body-based approach, connecting with their erotic self and changing how they move, relate, and live.

Before training as a Somatic Sexologist, I worked in community organising, advocacy, and law. My work involved navigating complexity, conflict, and systems under pressure, requiring the ability to listen deeply, notice what remained unspoken, and stay present when there were no simple answers.

While I found this work deeply meaningful, I also came to recognise my own disconnection from my body and from my sexual self. Through this experience, I began to understand sex not as a separate part of life, but as something that reflects how we relate to ourselves, our bodies, and one another.

Over time, I began to recognise that my experience was connected to broader cultural messages about bodies and sex. This deepened my curiosity about what happens when people learn to move away from their own embodied experience.

This led me to train as a Somatic Sexologist.

Today, I work with individuals and couples who want to cultivate a more embodied relationship with sex, intimacy, pleasure, and themselves. My practice is grounded in the understanding that change does not come from acquiring the right techniques, but from developing the capacity to notice what is happening in the body and remain in relationship with it.

Together we explore the patterns, sensations, emotions, and relational dynamics that shape your erotic life. Rather than working toward a predetermined outcome, I support clients to develop greater awareness, choice, and responsiveness, allowing sex to become a place of curiosity, connection, and aliveness rather than performance or expectation.

At the heart of my work is a belief in embodied erotic power. I advocate for this because I know the cost of living disconnected from my body and my erotic self, and I know what becomes possible when the body becomes a place of connection, curiosity, pleasure, and power.

I welcome people across diverse relationship structures, sexual orientations, and gender identities, and work with clients experiencing a wide range of questions around sex, intimacy, relationships, and embodiment.

I offer sessions in-person at 493 Centre Road, Bentleigh VIC 3204, Australia, and online across Australia.

If you are curious about working together, or simply have questions about my approach, I would love to hear from you.
